With the use of found footage material from sources such as news reports, travel adverts and holiday adverts, this video tries to reimagine and recontextualise the debate about climate change, interweaving negative news with examples of how a changing landscape can bring anthropocentric benefits to local communities and at the same time fuel the greed of large corporations. In this video work, with its fast, at times even humorous editing style that takes inspiration from music videos, the viewer is invited to reflect on how we as a society can see the bigger picture of a pressing, broad and extremely nuanced problem.
